Ready, aim…FIRE!

Ready, Aim…FIRE!

Jebel Ali Shooting Club in Dubai, United Arab Emirates

MY favourite place to shoot in the Middle East. High-tech, no expense spared ranges and with good instructors for the novice, spend a whole day here and you will want more. The smooth feel of the cold steel of a good gun’s action is almost as sleek as the skin of a beautiful woman. It always reminds me of a lovely Parisienne model I knew long ago. There is nothing quite like moving your Beretta 12 gauge over & under shotgun to your shoulder, tracking the flying clay pigeon, giving a lead…pulling the trigger back every so gently. See the ‘bird’ disintegrate into a cloud of orange powder! A perfect ‘kill’. Strangely satisfying & relaxing too, like the feeling of serenity after the big ‘O’. After shooting, head for the pool or the sea to swim and sunbathe. The sea water is clear and warm. I adore swimming out to the floating platform far out to sea. It is just like the one in the classic Hollywood Cary Grant movie, "To Catch a Thief". There is also the 9 Hole golf course for a round of golf if that is your cup of tea. Enjoy!  {:-)
