Restaurants in Singapore

MUSING over the current Restaurant scene, there seems to be a surfeit of Italian restaurants, mostly good, some mediocre and some downright awful. Recently, there was a a very bad and to my mind totally UNJUSTIFIED review in a certain newspaper about the newest kid on the block, Diego’s The Lighthouse in the Fullerton Hoel.
I really find it totally ludicrous when journalists who probably cannot cook and do not understand anything at all about Italian cuisine, food and culture take it upon themselves to be patronising, and criticise really good Italian cuisine for no reason other than their own ignorance and bad taste. It is said, bad taste is bad but NO taste is even worse.

L’animale e il miglior amico dell uomo:
non fa domande e non critica!

Try the cuisine at The Lighthouse in The Fullerton Hotel on Level 8 where the view is to parachute behind enemy lines in Afghanistan for! Unless you have bad taste, or no taste, you will not regret it.
