Oasis in Paris

MANY marveuilleux hotels are to be found in Paris, la ville lumiere.
One such luminary is boutique Hotel Daniel, just a rifle shot away from glittering Avenue des Champs-Elysees.
This morning at 0608, I jogged all the way along the ‘Champs’ to the illuminated historic Hotel de Crillon and the River Seine,
that romantic, mysterious river that flows through the French capital. Then it was back to the Hotel Daniel to
have a ‘superbe’ breakfast of omelette a la minute with zucchini,  tomato, champignon mushrooms, cappuccino
with a mountain of fluffy foamed milk, French pastries, low fat yoghurt and muesli…I dipped the chocolate croissant
in the hot coffee, added some apricot jam and popped it in my mouth.
Eh voila! YUMMY!!!
Eveywhere there are ancient Chinese paintings and objets d’art, and the room is so comfy with light soft pillows that
make you feel like you are sleeping on a cloud. The staff too are very courteous and well trained and above all, warm
and caring. The Directeur General, Cecile is as intelligent as she is helpful and caring with a warm heart.
Food and wine lovers, take note, just next door is Apicus, a 2 Michelin etoile restaurant in a beaurtiful manicured garden…
but that is another story…
Enjoy!
