Out of the Pan Restaurant in Singapore

Where’s my water?

Out of the Pan restaurant

Raffles City Republic of Singapore

MY decision to check out the newly revamped ‘Out of the Pan’ restaurant, one of the Swissotel The Stamford’s

F & B outlets, found me sitting in a corner table with a good view of the dining area.

I had the Seafood Jungle Crepe wrapped in a 2mm thin Sun-Dried Tomato Crepe. It was well filled with pineapple, crab, prawns and cute baby scallops. The scallops were nice and not overcooked till rubbery.

Unfortunately, the service was not up to the par of the food. My glass of water failed to appear despite repeated requests, and my extra plate for sharing also was nowhere to be seen. After a long wait…I had to get up and look for the pony tailed Indian waitress before they  finally materialised. Granted, the eatery was very busy and they seemed short staffed.

Luckily, things improved when Manager Sukunah came to help. With ther charm and efficiency she got things back on track, and kindly recommended I try two of the speciality desserts.

Banana Split Waffles had banana medallions spiked with tangy lemon juice plus strawberry and chocolate ice cream. The winsome waffle has a thin crispy crispy crust with a satisfying fluffy inside.

Chocolate Mania,

on the other hand revealed a whole banana rolled in a chocolate crepe like the Arabian Sharwarma. A giant sphere of chocolate ice cream sliced by a curvy sail shaped chocolate wafer completed the appetising presentation. The custard is lovely without being too sweet. Portions here are big..the food is nice. I’d like to come back to try the Peking Duck and Korean BBQ Pork Crepes sometime…

Just improve the service , and you’ll have a winner.
