MANY Singaporeans like Italian Food and I like Italian cuisine too. One of my favourites is Prego in Raffles City with a view of Chopsticks, the War Memorial. Here, skilful Italian Chef Antonio and cheerful Christian, the energetic Manager make you feel at home with good food in the authentic Italian style, and with the gracious hospitality you receive when you are in sunny Italia. Today, for lunch I relished Rabbit Ravioli with an Umbrian green Fava Bean stew in a tomato & garlic sauce. The sauce was balanced and not overly tangy and sour, like when there is too much tomato inside, especially unripe tomato. I always enjoy too the Italian Rosemary Pane in the shape of a bagel with a dip of Ricotta Cheese and Pesto in a small glass bottle. A nice finale is a forte (strong) Doppio Espresso. Italians never drink Cappuccinno after 12 noon…
Domani e festa si mangia la minestra, Ha! Ha! {:-)
Viva Italia e Viva Prego! Buon appetitio! {:-)
