Long Chim is coming to Marina Bay Sands

Story and photos by Dr. Michael Lim the Travelling GourmetTM

The indomitable Travelling Gourmet gives you the latest on which restaurant is taking over…

MARINA Bay Sands’ space that used to be Guy Savoy. It is Long Chim which means in the Thai language: come and taste! My friend, well known Thai Chef David Thompson of Nahm Restaurant is coming to Marina Bay Sands. David told me that his new venture in Singapore shoull be open in October 2014. Doubtless, it will serve fine contemporary Thai cuisine and jazzed-up Thai street food. Not so long ago I attended a cooking class by Chef David in the Sydney Seafood Cooking School. I learned a lot and added on to the knowledge I had gained at the Mandarin Oriental School of Thai Cooking in Bangkok and also in Chiangmai. David’s class was a blast! Keep checking this website for updates…
