MOONCAKES from Szechuan Court in the Fairmont Hotel. The first thing I noticed was the unusual shape of the mooncakes. They are were not round…but heart shaped! I like the Rum and Raisin Chocolate Truffle and the Chocolate Truffle has a raisin in it! I like this with a glass of Bellavista sparkling wine from Franciacorta in Italy!

The Champagne Truffle and Chocolate Ganache is also very delicious. The canary yellow colour of the snowskin, however, could be improved.. The texture if the lotus paste is as smooth as silk and just ever so slightly gooey.

Try the new snowskin Triple Treasures Mooncake which has Melon Seeds and Sweet Corn in Water Chestnut White Lotus Paste. A winning formula! The new baked Mooncake flavour boasts crunchy Walnuts in Lotus Paste flavoured with healthy Japanese Matcha Green Tea. Very aptly named “Matcha Crunch”.
