MOST yummie contemporary Italian cuisine prepared by jovial Italian Chef Antonio Facchinetti from northern Italy. Prego is one of Singapore’s oldest restaurants and its survival is a tribute to its excellent food and service. When it first opened as a super trendy Italian Ristorante under the then Manager Ettore Palazzi, a dear friend, it was THE place to see and be seen in between dining well! Now it is much the same and it had a kind of rebirth after a renovation to make it more up to date. The ever helpful Manager, Christian Carminati, now is from Sardegna, the second largest island of Italy. From the legs of ham to the big cheeses and the quaint semi-circular Antipasti Bar, Prego exudes warmth, charm and the Italian concept of “la dolce vita” or the ‘sweet life’.
