The inimitable and inspiring Travelling Gourmet TM tastes fine Italian wines at the…
MULTI-FACETED Gambero Rosso Top Italian Wines Roadshow in sunny Singapore…
I had just returned from a Gourmet Adventure in sunny Italy where I attended one of the world’s BIGGEST Wine and Spirits Exhibitions, namely VINITALY in Verona, Italy. In VINITALY I tasted and savoured many, many fine Italian wines like Moletto and Donna Fugata and Badia a Coltibuono, just to name a few. At the Gambero Rosso Roadshow I was most delighted to taste MORE excellent Italian wines!
The ninth edition of the tour is full of new events and an itinerary that explores the most exciting locations for Italian wine. Take off will be in South Korea on October 28, 2015. Here producers will find a very attentive public, for whom fermentation is fundamental, and not only in the kitchen. On February 15, 2016 the tour will visit the American west coast, Seattle, in Washington state is a first for the Roadshow, to explore new areas for the firmly established American market. On its own, the United States consumes 21.7% of Italian wine exports! Seattle is known for its refined wine and food scene, and its population appreciates products of certified origin and those that respect environmental sustainability. The next stop is in one of the world’s liveliest cities from a culinary point of view: the energy of São Paolo in Brazil will welcome the best Italian wines on April 4, 2016
Finally, three events in Asia are designed to penetrate or consolidate markets that are very different in terms of their history and development. Sunny Singapore, on May 16, is by now a classic destination for the event.

Singaporeans and many in Asia now realise the quality and beauty of fine Italian wines and are no longer like blinkered horses and going only for French and Australian wines like in the past. Bravi Asia! Cin Cin e Salute! Dr. Michael Lim e Il Turista Buongustaio…e Il Padrino Gastronomia 🙂
