The debonair and dashing Travelling Gourmet TM reveals one of his fave restaurants in New York, New York, so good they named it twice…it is

New York Central restaurant in the Grand Hyatt of the ‘Big Apple’!

WINNER of Wine Spectator’s Award of Excellence – 2 years in a row – for its outstanding wine program in New York City…

MY favourite place for a cooool dinner or lunch is New York Central restaurant in the Grand Hyatt New York. Just to the right of the main entrance this is the ideal place to unwind with your cocktail of choice in hand and contemporary gourmet cuisine at your table. Attractive view of  every bustling East 42nd Street as you savour gourmet food and fine wines thoughtfully sourced and carefully prepared…like The NYC Burger whch has…
6 oz. Grass Fed Strauss Beef, Raclette Cheese,
Caramelized Shallots, Lettuce, Tomato,
Ginger Ketchup, Brioche Bun and crisp French Fries! With it…a robust Zinfandel 2013
from Buehler in the Napa Valley of California. Salut!

The contemporary open kitchen, dazzling chandelier, illuminated bar, and floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking New York City all contribute to the restaurant’s stunning, modern ambiance. The creative menu features fresh, seasonal ingredients inspired by flavors of Western Europe for breakfast, lunch, or dinner, as well as an express menu for those on the go. There is even a Moroccan inspired main course. Dine from the exclusive spot at the chef’s table or experience course after course at a spot with a view. Grand Hyatt New York offers the quintessential urban dining experience at New York Central. Connected to Grand Central Station so it is very quick to get on an Amtrak train after your meal to travel to wherever you want!
