The suave and slick Travelling Gourmet TM goes to see a classic retrospective…

MOVIE in a hipster cinema called The Projector with a decor deliberately left in a state of shabby-chic wahahahah! As part of the French Film Festival the movie was titled, “Les diaboliques”! Believe me, believe me, the main characters were all ueber-diabolical…mon Dieu! GREED feature sin the movie which deals with adultery, deceit, treachery, passion, hate, rage, bullying, and last but definitely not least MURDER…Starring sexy Simone Signoret the renowned buxom beauty and…the wife of the Directeur of the movie. I wonder how she got the lead role…No prizes for guessing…:-)

To cut a story short, the French Embassy kindly sponsored a lot, believe me, I mean a lot of nice Croissants and Muffins! At the end of the movie, there were a lot leftover! The people were more interested in the murder movie than in the pastries…except for a Malay/Indonesian family, clearly highly educated and fluent in French, and members of the elite of society by their good English and expensive traditional Malay costume and attire, for the ladies that is, complete with silk tudongs/head scarves! A nice young gentleman, one of the staff of the Projector Bar and Bistro told me disgustedly at their GREED, shaking his head with a scowl,”They tar pow/take away FOUR boxes of leftover pastries and croissants!!!”

YES, GREED and AVARICE is one of the 7 DEADLY SINS!!!! Les diaboliques n’est pas…

Mon Dieu! Sacre bleu! C’est terrible! Wahahahah! šŸ™‚
