On 28 Nov there is an event at Das Lokal, an independent restaurant rented from the Goethe Institut Singapore on the ground floor of the heritage building. Finding it somewhat unusual, rather unique, and with dinner included for S$50, I tried to book one ticket…and then the nightmare started, Peatix is the platform for booking and IT IS SO USER UNFRIENDLY AND SO DIFFICULT TO USE I ALMOST GAVE UP…THOSE WHO REALLY, REALLY KNOW ME…KNOW THAT I NEVER EVER GIVE UP UNTIL I WIN!
So after numerous attempts and numerous messages and facebook posts with NEGATIVE feedback to Goethe Institut Singapore and to Peatix, I finally managed to get one ticket!!! HIP HIP HOORAY KACANG PUTIH!!! ONE TERRIBLE ISSUE WAS WHEN I TRIED TO LOG IN, AND HAVING FORGOTTEN MY PASSWORD, I REQUESTED FOR A NEW PASSWORD MULTIPLE TIMES. Despite telling me they had sent an email with instructions to reset…peatix NEVER did send the password…until numerous strong complaints from me! PATHETIC!!! SNAFU!!! FUBAR!!!!Why, oh why must people only do their job and get things done right WHEN PEOPLE GET ANGRY AND FURIOUS AND COMPLAIN UNTIL THEY FEAR LOSING THEIR JOBS!!! WHY THE HELL CAN’T people just do things right without having people get angry with their incompetence and ineptitude????? &^%$#@#$%^&*()*&^!!!!!! Well, more often than not…they can’t. Therefore it sometimes ends up like this. That’s the way the cookie crumbles.
Goethe Institut was more helpful and I have strongly recommended to them NEVER to use peatix ever again!!!!I hope they heed my humble well meaning advice.
The good part is I finally got my ticket. A Happy Ending so far…so good.
