The matchless and inimitable Travelling Gourmet TM tries the “Bento to go”…
MEALS from Azur restaurant in Crowne Plaza Hotel in Changi Airport Terminal 3. The meals come packed in an environment friendly compartmentalized cardboard box. The Baked Chicken Thigh with Onion Sauce and Gluten Free Spaghetti plus Vegetables like Cauliflower, healthy Broccoli and Baby Carrots plus House-Made “Smiley Face” Bun was appetizing!

What you actually get…
I also liked the Coq au Vin cooked with Merlot red wine and Mushrooms, paired with Seasonal Vegetables like Carrots, plus Creamy Mash and Smiley Bun. The mash potato is nice BUT needs more butter for taste and texture. The meal was tasty and satisfying. The vegetables were not overcooked but still had that lovely crunch when you bit in!

Another goodie was the Fisherman’s Catch. It was Seafood Marina with Prawns accompanied by Penne Pasta with Parmesan Cheese and Mushrooms, Seasonal Vegetables and Smiley Face Bread Bun. I was pleased to find that the Penne was still “al dente” as it should be and not limp and soggy.

For recent orders in May, the Smiley-Face bun has been changed to a Spinach Roll.
Dessert of Mango Pudding with tangy Pomelo is very yummie too!
