The indomitable and irrepressible Travelling Goumet TM features…

MARVELLOUS Mazzo Italian Ristorante on trendy and lively Club Street. This cosy ristorante with a romantic ambience serves really nice Italian cuisine. Mazzo in Italian means “bunch”. Mazzo is helmed by GM Patrick Lopez, who was with Hyatt hotels for twelve years. The tasty offerings come in big man-sized portions.

Antipasti

I began with a gigantic Antipasti Platter which had Tomato and Mushroom Bruschetta, Arancini, Proscuitto di Parma, Ham, Mortadella, Golden Crispy Calamari Rings, Chicken Wings and Garlic Bread.

Chilled Ikura Pasta was next with Soft Boiled Egg and Julienne of Japanese Seaweed.Break the egg and mix it all up before you enjoy it. It went well with a glass of bubby lemony Italian Prosecco.

Octopus Leg, Crab Meat and more!

For the main courses, one of their signatures is Grilled Octopus Leg that is not overcooked so it is not rubbery.

The Crab Meat Tagliatelle garnished with Alfalfa Sprouts is also very tasty. The pasta is al dente so that is good.

The big Mazzo 10 inch Pizza with lots of Pepperoni, perfumed Truffle and Spinach is also a winner

Do not miss the satisfying Pork Tomahawk which is very yummie and perfect for sharing with your loved one.

Delightful Dolce or Desserts!

It was a wonder I could still savour dessert but I could not resist the sexy Tiramisu with Strawberries and the luscious Chocolate Cheesecake garnished with Physalis and Ice Cream. The desserts are not overly sweet which is very good. Many are very health conscious now.

Buon appetito!

The Travelling Gourmet TM says: Keep calm and carry on eating!
