The irreverent Travelling Gourmet looks for a coke yesterday…
MORNING. The orange sun broke free of the horizon and my Breitling watch told me it was 07:18…I felt in need of a Coca Cola with lots of ice and a slice of fresh cut lemon so I went to the cupboard and…
a wierd thing happened…I found a brown slimy, sticky, gooey liquid on the bottom of the cupboard surrounded by hordes of hyperactive black ants in a feeding frenzy! The can of coke was unopened BUT there was a tiny hole from corrosion on the bottom of the can and the coke had leaked out! Another unopened can was very light with very little coke inside when I lifted it up, but on scrutiny there was no corrosion hole at all. Somehow the coke had evaporated???
I contacted Coca Cola Singapore and Coca Cola in Atlanta, Georgia in the USA. Now the people from Coca Cola Singapore are coming to see me today…I think it is poor quality control. Must be some defect in the aluminium can. I recommend you check the cans of Coca Cola in your cupboards…and drink them up now! Has anyone else experienced this??
Life is like Coca Cola…drink it before it leaks out from the can! 🙂
